Receives 2002 Magellan Award for Media Relations Work
Named Finalist for Boutique Agency of the Year by PR Week
NEW YORK, NY, JANUARY 17, 2003 – Rx Communications Group, LLC, a financial communications firm specializing in the life science and healthcare industries, announced today that it is a winner of the 2002 Magellan Awards Publicity Campaign Competition, sponsored by the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP). Established in 2001, the LACP is an organization that encourages excellence in the practice of communications.
The LACP presented Rx Communications with an Honorable Mention award in the Financial/Investor Communications category, reflecting excellence for its work in the development of a media campaign for privately held ImpactRx, Inc. -- the nation's first pharmaceutical Promotion Research Organization. The competition was judged by a group of communications professionals whose expertise spans a broad range of public relations functions, from corporate and product communications for Fortune 500 companies to non-profit publicity expertise.
Rx Communications Group also announced today that it has been selected as a finalist by PR Week for Boutique PR Agency of the Year. PR Week is the world’s largest weekly publication serving the public relations community.
