NEXMED CONFIRMS PUBLICATION ON ANTI-FUNGAL PRODUCT

East Windsor, NJ, June 3, 2008 -- NexMed, Inc. (Nasdaq: NEXM), a developer of innovative products based on the NexACT® drug delivery technology, today confirmed that an article on its topical treatment for onychomycosis (nail fungus) licensed to Novartis, was published in the May 2008 issue of Mycoses. The article is entitled, “Determination of the Efficacy of Terbinafine HCl Nail Solution in the Topical Treatment of Dermatophytosis in a Guinea Pig Model.” Mycoses is an international journal that publishes articles on topics concerning medical or veterinary mycology. A copy of the article is available by request to NexMed.

NM100060 is a topical application of Lamisil® (terbinafine hydrochloride), formulated with terbinafine and NexMed’s patented NexACT technology that is being developed for the treatment of onychomycosis. NexMed entered into an exclusive, worldwide agreement with Novartis in September 2005, under which Novartis assumed all clinical development, regulatory, manufacturing and commercialization responsibilities for NM100060.
